Approach to Yoga: Structural Realignment Integration (SRI)
Ginny Nadler is founder of CoreBodyWisdom, a health and wellness company delivering to health care professionals and her yoga students a systematic approach to achieving pelvic alignment to gain freedom of movement and prevent injuries. She calls this approach Structural Realignment Integration.
Through a series of movements and a focus into the depth of the pelvic floor, specifically at the site of the perineum, practitioners of SRI unravel layers of distorted muscle that have prevented freedom of movement and caused an imbalance.
An imbalance resulting in the inability to stand evenly in the leg bones and elongate the spine, thereby creating traction. The structure that we depend on to hold us up for a lifetime is compromised enormously by this imbalance and has been the cause of many injuries.
"I have gotten further, faster in strength, flexibility, body awareness and openness in my body than I ever thought possible. We are fortunate to have a teacher with her level of skill, commitment to her students, and openness of being among us!"
Linda Garverick, Ph.D. / Organizational Consultant, Cleveland, Ohio
SRI evolved from years of practice and teaching as well as from her work in New Haven, Connecticut where she co-created and directed The Yoga Studio and Spa as part of The Urban Global Healing Center. Here she established teacher-training programs; a yoga protocol for people suffering with asthma in conjunction with Yale/Griffin Hospitals; and specialized programs for reaching out to students of all ages and other under-served groups.
"Ginny’s work will take you beyond what you thought possible. No longer exclusive to the young or the buff gym regulars at whatever age you are now, your physical abilities and healing potential are greater than imagined."
